2010 A Visual Description of Geraldton and the Mid West
At the Geraldton Regional Art Gallery (September–October). An exhibition of pictures commissioned by the Municipality of Geraldton in 1960, now part of the City of Geraldton Art Collection. Includes the artist’s written observations of the region. This historic collection belongs to a series of some 9 West Australian coastal and inland towns collectively entitled Look at the State we’re in! that Elizabeth Durack produced between c1956–1960. The artworks have been recently restored and framed to museum standards with funds generously made available by the City of Geraldton–Greenough, the Mid West Development Commission and the Friends of the Art Gallery. 90 artworks, 34 information panels
